I will survive

The end of the semester is upon us, and I am freaking out. In the next three weeks, I have to finish all of my remaining assignments, and when I made a list yesterday of what that entailed, I thought about just giving up. There’s too much to do, too many assignments and not enough time to do them. I let myself panic for a solid couple of minutes, and then I started laying out a plan. I made an even longer list of what I could get done each day until the end of the semester, so I could plainly see whether there was enough time to get everything done. When I finished the list, I realized that there is enough time to do it all, but only if I stay on top of things and stick to my plan. Being organized is not my strong suit, and sticking to my plan is not going to be easy, but I’m keeping myself motivated with two things. One:  if I get the things done each day that I have scheduled, I don’t have to give up any sleep. Two: I will graduate at the end of this, and even though we start our summer class almost immediately after graduation (yay needing two degrees to be a school psychologist), I will get to celebrate the fact that I survived my first year in graduate school and that I have a Master’s degree to show for it.
